After accomplishing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, Laurie Hill has developed and cultivated a practice focusing on moving image, with avenues into sculpture, installation and text. The writing aspect of his practice is taken forward through a video art format with wit that creates a both hilarious and sinister world.
He is not afraid of experimentation and collaboration as shown in his two 2018 works ‘Melodrama’ and ‘Actor (This Is Not Your Sub-Culture)’, taking aspects from his video collage and text art fancies and injecting them into works with actors. Furthermore, a materiality is not insignificant with his approach to including installation works and small sculptures.
His aesthetic derives from internet and digital blog ideologies of collaging and mood boarding images and media together to create a vibe of its own,  borrowing and dissecting from online spaces.

Hill’s education in art includes a Foundation Diploma from the Reigate School of Art, and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art: Print and Time Based Media from University of the Arts London: WCA.
